Who is Java Jane? Created more than 7 years ago as a 'net psuedonym' for my first forays into the web, it's become a "real life" identity. I am able to mark the length of my friendships by who refers to me "jj" and who uses my given name. (It's NOT Jane.) Java Jane has somehow overtaken my everday persona. Blending my overblown coffee addiction with my passion for alternative 80s music which culminated in my ever popular iTunes internet radio stream Generation80s Retro Radio, emerges a complex but not complicated woman with a variety of interests and experiences from near and far. Besides being the eclectic hostess of Gen80s, I currently live in Metro NY, but have also called California, Washington D.C., Spain and New Jersey<--(should I admit this??) home . I've met some of the closest and most interesting people in my life through my travels and on the internet. I was an English (with the dubious distinction of being a marginal speller, thank God for spell check) & History double major with a Philosophy minor. That should explain it all. I'd call myself open minded, but am also highly opinionated. (Is that an oxymoron?) Fortunate enough to be able to leave corporate life behind and persue what I'm passionate about, art, music, computers and my family. Looking to hit the road and travel more often now that my children are old enough to start allowing me that freedom once again. Looking forward to finding friends and acquaintances along that path!
